Broken Paths - full-length script
Belligerent mother of two and daughter-in-law to the family matriarch murders her cancer-ridden and dementia suffering mother-in-law whilst her husband and brother-in-law discuss their mother's nursing and care home arrangements.
Broken Paths, an un-produced new piece of writing will have a staged reading at the Actors and Writers London play reading workshop on Monday 2nd July 2018, 7:30 pm at the Polish Social and Cultural Association in Hammersmith. Details are below.
Performed in front of theatre professionals and enthusiasts, established writers and those emerging, Broken Paths promises to be an exciting and entertaining, if not confronting and controversial story.
Broken Paths, having been lovingly and carefully created during the days and months of 2017. This script was developed from stories told by two friends discussing the passing of their own parent and how it affected their siblings ... and their parent's possessions.
Passionate and confident this script will challenge the status quo, entertain intelligent audiences, and provide a dynamic story with complex characters. Broken Paths discloses a challenging story. Broken Paths opens the door to a home next door to you. Broken Paths relinquishes a peaceful journey.
You are welcome to join us at the Polish Social and Cultural Association in Hammersmith on Monday 2nd July 2018 from 7:15 pm onwards. Seating is limited and not ticketed, so please ensure you attend early to grab a comfortable position.
