Once a year on the first Sunday of each April, Jocelyn, and Frank meet at the train station. Each year they have a picnic in the park, see a matinee movie, and then go their separate ways.

 

It’s 1949, early November, the autumn leaves are turning. Jocelyn has written Frank a letter, asking to meet him. Frank hopes for an acceptance of his annual marriage proposals. Jocelyn introduces Frank to his daughter and has devastating news about their travel plans.
