Day five of Dr Rappaccini’s botanical and toxicological tests in his private rooms and Beatrice, his very own daughter continues to suffer from his experiments. Larry has been summoned to Dr Rappaccini’s private rooms to assist the Doctor in a test using Hymenoxys. Larry plans to confess his secret to Beatrice and reveal his secret to Dr Rappaccini. The private rooms are lavishly decorated with classic turn of the 1800’s décor.
Dr Rappaccini prepares for his next important botanical and toxicological experiment on his own daughter. He tests the effects of Hymenoxys (Rubber Weed); toxic to sheep due to the presence of the sesquiterpene lactone. He decides to test if it is toxic to humans.
Beatrice, Dr Rappaccini’s daughter lives amongst toxic plants in a private garden. The effects of the ongoing tests makes her suffer from Cataplexy. Larry, Dr Rappaccini’s Assistant is secretly in love with Beatrice, but keeps this to himself, in fear of Dr Rappaccini’s outrage. He secretly wants to stop the experiments on Beatrice.
