Before Broken River, a little unknown one-act play called Separating The Dust born three characters Chad, Michael, and Tracey. The storyline of two brothers fighting over their Mother's Final Will and Testament brought much excitement to the Victorian Drama League One Act Play Festival.

Separating The Dust caused lots of interest in audiences, stimulated by the drama and creating its own momentum. Newspaper articles and radio interviews were all the rage. The 20-25 minute drama was refused by some festivals, respectfully citing the type of play was not suitable for their audience demographic.

Separating The Dust caused enough interest, we were invited to perform ahead of the Shorter+Sweeter one-act play touring show, promoting their upcoming festival; we performed in Kyneton, Victoria.

A very positive experience was Separating The Dust, with a brilliant production, gaining the interest of audiences and the media, alike.

Broken River was born out of Separating The Dust. This time there's a little more comedy and a little more drama.

Broken River comes to the stage for its premier in the 2023 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
